North Portland Winter Shelter

The North Portland Winter Shelter is a seasonal, low-barrier, overnight shelter for up to 50 people—including men, women, and couples 18 years and older— experiencing homelessness. The shelter is located at Portsmouth Union Church (4775 N Lombard St.) and is operated by Do Good Multnomah. It is open nightly, 8pm until 6am, now through the morning of April 1st.

Check out the details for various ways to pitch in and then make plans with your family, your congregation, your workgroup, or your circle of friends to show up in the coming months.

Donations of ground decaf coffee, creamer, peanut butter, jelly, loaves of bread, and granola bars are always appreciated and can be dropped off after 7pm nightly (or connect to arrange an alternative time).
