Over the years, the Internet of Things has become a hot topic of conversation among professionals. It is the belief that it has the potential to affect not only our lives, but also the way we work. But the question is, what is the "Internet of Things"? How do we benefit from the Internet of Things in everyday life? How safe are these physical devices? And how will that affect us? Every day many questions arise.
Let’s start by understanding a few things: With the development of the Internet, more and more devices are becoming connected to the outside world, cheaply and widely thanks to the Internet. More and more devices are being built with Wi-Fi functions and sensors, technology costs are being drastically reduced, and smartphone acceptance is growing rapidly. All these factors take IoT to the next level.
The idea behind the Internet of Things is to connect physical hardware with the Internet on and off. According to Gartner, there are more already connected things in the world than people. Gartner analysts estimate that about 8.4 billion IoT devices were used in 2017, up 31 percent from 2016, and that by 2020 it is projected to reach 20.4 billion, which means the size is already large and we can move on.
