How to Enter the "25 Days, 25 Ways to Care" Contest and Sweepstakes

Thanks to Create the Good for this great guest post!

Want to do something special for someone you know who dedicates themselves to helping others? Create the Good is here to help! We know caregivers come in all shapes in sizes – family members taking care of an aging parent, teachers who go the extra mile for their students, volunteers who nurture and care for the environment, even tutors and coaches who take special care for the little ones they teach. That’s why Create the Good is making it easy this Nov. 1 – 25th for anyone, anywhere to nominate their favorite caregiver for a chance to win BIG!

In the “25 Days, 25 Ways to Care” contest and sweepstakes this November, Create the Good is accecpting 1-minute video submissions that tell the story of a caregiver the entrant knows and admires. Nominated caregivers will be entered in daily random gift card drawings, and one lucky winner will receive a whopping $2,500 grand prize donation to the nonprofit of their choice – that’s huge!

So how can you enter? Submit a 1 minute- video here! Making a 1-minute video in the digital age is much easier than it sounds! Check out these 4 helpful ideas and resources to get started (and spread the word!):

1. Use your smartphone: Taking video on your smartphone is as simple as a couple of taps. On an iPhone or Android, tap the Camera icon and then slide the menu choice at the bottom to “video”. Turn your phone to a landscape/horizontal view for more coverage, and record. Once you’re done, you can upload the video right from your phone to the sweepstakes entry page, or email the video to yourself, iMessage it to other devices, or send it via Facebook messenger.

2. Use pre-installed software: Good news, your Mac laptop may already have iMovie on it. This preinstalled software makes it easy to take photos and videos and pop them onto a pre-designed template with background music and everything! Have a PC? Use Powerpoint to create a snazzy slideshow of photos and testimonials with music and production values to boot.

3. Use a free, online website: Online video and slideshow making platforms also make a 1-minute video submission a snap! Using photos, video clips, quotes and handwritten messages, services like Animoto or Kizoa help you build short videos in minutes. You can add text, special effects, music and more.

4. Ask for help: No matter who you are, you’re just a few degrees away from a teenager who knows the ins and outs of social media and how to create cool photos and videos. Ask a neighbor’s kid to help or get a whole group behind it, whether it’s the school, a nonprofit, a Girl Scout Troop you name it – someone is bound to be able to help pull off a video entry with you.

Don’t forget! Your video has to be 1 minute or less to be considered a valid entry, but as soon as you submit, your favorite caregiver has multiple chances to WIN through the month of November!
