School Choice Application Support

HCS Family Resource Center will be available to provide support to assist families with completing the 2022-2023 School Choice Application. This is an opportunity to get support in selecting Choice School options through the PowerSchool portal. The deadline for submitting the School Choice Application through PowerSchool for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year is January 31. Visit our School Choice website for more details on applicable schools (Magnet, Future Ready, Open Enrollment, and Post Secondary Schools) and available spots, and the selection timeline. 

Staff will hold office hour sessions at different locations between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm at the Staff Development Center on 1161 West 40th St and at Hillcrest on 4302 Hickory Valley Rd. Registration is encouraged to ensure a spot but not required. Select from one of the 30 minute appointments below, indicating your in-person or virtual preference. Support may not take the entire 30 minutes, but is available if needed. Appointments at the Department of Education on 3074 Hickory Valley Rd are in person only.

Due to increasing Covid-19 cases in our community, masks are strongly encouraged for in-person appointments.

What you will need:

- Access to your PowerSchool account (click 'forgot username or password' to reset your login credentials). If you do not have a PowerSchool account, please request your Access ID from your student's current school to set up your account. You will also need a valid email address to set up the account.
