Gators Beat Waste Station
Thank you for your interest in reducing waste on campus! We are excited to have you as a volunteer at the Gators BEAT Waste Station in the Reitz Union Food Court. Here is what the on-boarding process will look like:
1. Sign up for a shift on the sign-up.com calendar (no account needed).
2. Kayla or another station representative will meet you on your first shift. During your first shift you will receive an introduction to the station, a 15 minute crash course on proper waste sorting, access to the volunteer handbook, a t-shirt, and access to online documents where you can record observations and suggestions.
3. Sign up for more shifts to continue guiding students, staff, faculty, and university guests through the waste sorting process. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns! Go Gators!
