For our fourth growing season we have even more ways to get involved! We are expanding our open access model and you will now be able to consider helping at one of our many growing sites around the community
As of June 1, we will have a Sunny Patch community garden space located close to you!
Sunny Patch Community Farm - located at 7361 Park Ave., Darien. This NEW community space is intended to serve as a sustainable agriculture demonstration farm. We will be sharing any vegetable yields from this community space with our network of at-risk families and local food pantries. Sunny Patch - Host Demonstration Patch, located on the NE grounds of Safety Village of Darien(7400 Cass Ave.) and Family patches on the west lawn (Lace Elementary). This site is for both volume and custom production of vegetables and fruits.
Indian Prairie Public Library - Prairie Patch (40 Patches to help maintain) New this season will be Science and Math Labs from June to August and a weekly Garden Giveaway on Tuesday evenings from July to August.
