The Dana Parent Partnership Program is an initiative to encourage dedicated persons to volunteer on a regular basis, if possible, at Dana Middle School. It is an extension of the community into our school.
Students have the opportunity to see parents and other interested citizens involved in school activities in a helping relationship. The partnership program makes it possible for schools to receive the benefits of the specialized skills possessed by the volunteers.
This involvement helps the educational staff become more responsive to the needs and goals of parents and the community. It provides opportunities for parents and community members to see our school in action and helps to develop better community school relations.
We believe that the volunteer, working under the direction of the professionally trained and certificated teacher, makes possible the improvement of the instructional program offered to students at Dana Middle School.
