K'ómoks Festival 2024

Welcome! Thank you for volunteering for the 2024 K'ómoks Festival celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day, on Friday, June 21, 2024. Morning & Afternoon Shifts Available

We will be coming together on June 21st to celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day at the beautiful beach site location of the Frank Memorial Pole, 3535 Bayside Road, Courtenay, British Columbia.

We're looking for volunteers to help with set-up, community events and clean-up. The day's events will include activities for all ages in an outdoor environment next to the beach. There will be nourishment and washrooms for you to use and an orientation when you arrive. Some of the activities you may be involved in are supporting workshops related to Indigenous Art, Culture, Language and Storytelling as well as helping to support tours of the local K'ómoks Estuary, Shell Middens & Fish Weir along the Comox Foreshore.
