The Red Curtain Foundation for the Arts is a nonprofit arts education and production organization located in Marysville, WA. The Red Curtain Arts Center is at 9315 State Avenue, Suite J, in the Goodwill Center (entrance in rear).
Operations have been adapted to conform to COVID-19 guidance from the state and local health departments. Cleaning and disinfecting has become part of Red Curtain's regular operating routine, and face coverings are required for all entering the building. The lobby and auditorium areas have been adapted to allow for social distancing, and new policies are in place to ensure the safety of all those who attend or participate in Red Curtain's shows.
Volunteer opportunities vary according to interests... helping with stagecraft (designing and/or building sets, lighting and sound design and operation, props and costumes management) to clerical and data office support (mostly during office hours, 2-6 p.m. Tuesday thru Saturday), attending periodic cleanup and organization work parties, helping with front of house duties during performances (ushers, concession workers, box office, etc.).... and other unique opportunities. RCF provides training and the tools; you provide enthusiasm, dependability and the desire to support the arts in our community.
It's important to note that our entire operation is managed by volunteers; Red Curtain employs no paid staff members, although we do provide minimal compensation for our instructors, directors and key production personnel. We rely on volunteers for day-to-day operations, production support and customer service. Find out how you can contribute to this community resource and help ensure a home for the arts in Marysville.
