SCS 2026 Volunteer Opportunities

Welcome back to Santa Cruz Shakespeare, and thank you for volunteering with us!

Our current opportunities include ushering for the summer and fall shows, which run July through September. Ushering for the spring show "Vincent" is currently full. 

What to Know Before Signing Up:

Ushers are required to arrive 1 hour before the show. Please plan accordingly so that you leave time for traffic and parking. When you arrive, let the parking attendants know you are an usher and they will direct you on where to park. Expect a short walk (less than 1/4 mile).

All summer and fall shows are hosted at the Audrey Stanley Grove in Delaveaga Park (501 Upper Park Rd, Santa Cruz, CA 95065 ). Please wear plain, professional clothing - the standard is a white blouse or dress shirt, and black pants with comfortable shoes for standing. The theater is outdoors, so we recommend bringing a blanket and warm layers.

Please meet the House Manager for your orientation in the Front-of-House at the start of your shift.
All ushers need to be present for orientation, even if you have ushered before.
