BYSO Active Volunteer Opportunities

To serve our hundreds of musicians we rely on our parents and other volunteers to support us throughout the season. Our volunteers’ support is worth over $50,000 toward our programs and your musician’s education. To keep BYSO running, we ask all families to fulfill at least four hours of volunteer service per year. High school students are also encouraged to volunteer. If applicable, BYSO hours can be counted toward their school volunteer requirements.

Volunteer shifts occur at every BYSO event, and are at different locations around the Eastside. This page will be populated with volunteer signups as they become available, and will include shifts at rehearsals, retreats, concerts, in the BYSO office, and beyond! Please review the signups below to learn more about volunteer positions and to sign up!

If you have questions about any shifts or requirements, reach out to Emma Byrd, emma@byso.org, who manages the volunteer program.
