2026-2027 Sign up for New 2 You -CCS/LCS

REMINDER: Be considerate.  If unable to work your scheduled volunteer shift, please remove your name for that day immediately.  This allow other families to sign up in that time slot, and will insure that the store is not understaffed.  

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

CASHIER:  Ring up customers for their purchase. Be friendly and kind to customers. Do not sign up for cashier position if you've never done it before.  We would like that you have worked three shifts with someone, before you sign up for the position.  Although relatively easy, we would still like you to have had practice and knowledge of store items before cashiering. 

STORE HELP: Help with bagging items at register. Put back items that customers do not want to the correct department.  Put clothes that are in the dressing room back on correct racks.  Straighten stuffed animal bin, so they are facing outward.  Look on top of the clothing racks for discarded items that customers didn’t want.  Must be friendly and kind to our customers 

BACK DOOR: Help unloading customers cars with their donations.  Once received, empty bags/boxes and put items in the correct departments. If you have a fear of touching things that come from other people’s homes, this is not the job for you.  when there is a lull with donations, sort the clothing from summer and winter items.  

There will be NO SHOPPING while you are volunteering for your 3-hour shift.  You will need to either come in early to shop or shop after your shift is over.  If you are found to be shopping during your shift, we will deduct that time from your volunteer hours.  This is a time to work, not shop.
