Merrimack Private Dive Lessons

We’re thrilled to offer private diving lessons at Merrimack, home of the championship-winning Merrimack Dive Team! Lessons are taught by our expert dive team coaches, and prior diving experience is not required. Lessons are given in a fun and supportive environment, and they are a great way to learn how to use the diving board safely and develop fundamentals, such as front and back dives. What’s more, instructors can help advanced divers increase their skills.

ELIGIBILITY
Lessons are open to anyone who is a member of Merrimack. The account member taking the lesson must be *a paid swimmer* on a family’s Merrimack account. They also must be able to swim the length of the pool.

INSTRUCTORS
Private lessons at Merrimack are taught by coaches on the Dive Team. Only Dive Team coaches are allowed to give private diving lessons at Merrimack, and all lessons should be booked through this system.

FEES
Lessons are $30 for a 30-minute session. If you’d like an hour lesson ($60 for the hour), you can book two back-to-back 30-minute sessions. Coaches can offer private lessons to two divers at the same time (no more); the rate for a joint lesson is $30 for each 30-minute block.

PAYMENT
Payment is given directly to the instructor by Venmo, Paypal, or check (no cash) as soon as the lesson is over.

Only lessons scheduled through this system are guaranteed. Go to an instructors name (below) to book a lesson. Please note: make sure to click SAVE on the banner at the top to ensure all your spots are saved.  

CANCELLATIONS

Lessons may be moved or canceled because of inclement weather. If you need to get in touch with an instructor, they will likely respond more quickly to texts than emails.
