Backpacks of Love Volunteer Page!
Volunteers jobs currently available:
1. Volunteer needed to deliver food bags to all Powhatan County Schools the 1st Thursday morning of every month.
2. Volunteer group needed the 4th Monday of each month.
3. Volunteer/s needed weekly for odd jobs at Backpacks of Love (BPOL) pantry, 3035 Lower Hill Road, Powhatan.
- Sorting and tracking food donation
- Brake down and hauling cardboard boxes to a recycle facility
- Double bagging our plastic bags we pack in (this can be done at home)
- Packing food packs (700 bags weekly)
- Hosting Food Drives (monthly/bi-monthly)
- Hosting Peanut Drives (BPOL sends home a 16 oz. jar of PB every Spring Break and Winter Break in each bag.)
