Atlas of Drowned Towns History Jamboree
The Atlas of Drowned Towns invites you to take part in the efforts to preserve the histories of inundated places. We will be hosting our first History Jamboree in Detroit, Oregon, on October 21-22, 2023!
We will be offering a variety of activities as well as digitally collecting materials related to Detroit, Oregon, and Detroit Dam, which drowned Detroit’s original townsite in 1953. We need volunteers for a myriad of positions; see below for the descriptions.
Just click on the jobs below and sign up for specific time slots. All shifts are four hours (but you can sign up for more than just one shift!).
Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.
