Mercy Money Moves-Financial Reality Fair

Mercy Money Moves is an interactive, half-day financial reality experience for Philadelphia high school 10th-12th grade students. Participants choose a career, calculate their income, and rotate from table to table making real-world decisions about housing, transportation, groceries, credit, and more. Along the way, they track their choices in their Money Moves worksheet and respond to a surprise unexpected circumstance, “Life Be Lifin’” moments that tests their budget in real time. It’s financial literacy — but lived, not lectured.

You do not need any specific experience or background to be a volunteer. An Orientation in early May will be available to help train and guide volunteers on how to work with students and what to expect throughout the day.

There are three types of volunteers; Event Staff for registration, hospitality and general assistance, Advisors who help students navigate the experience and Table Reps who will represent a specific category including housing, transportation, groceries and more.
