Adorations - Parish of St Michael

To all who participate in our Blessed Adorations, you have done it - we have achieved two years worth of monthly Adorations at St Michael's Parish.  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you - may God Bless us all.

“The time you spend with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the best time you will spend on earth” – Saint Teresa of Calcutta

From the early days of "official" Adoration when Pope Clement VIII issued the 1592 document know in Italian as the "Quarant' Ore", (Forty Hours) to today in 2017 the Adoration has become a humbling experience for believers in Christ.

An Adoration in simple terms......

“Just go before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, and tell Him everything: your thoughts, your worries, your fears, your concerns. Tell Him your sorrows, your struggles, your sufferings. Leave nothing out. Be open and willing to receive. But most of all tell Him how much you love Him and you accept whatever He wills to send you. He will embrace you and give you the strength, the courage, and all the virtues you need which correspond to your current vocation in life.” {Paul A. Ray}

Adorations have a spiritual value beyond our understanding; it is said that: “Jesus waits for us in this Sacrament of Love”.  St. Alphonsus Liguori spoke of The Eucharist as a priceless treasure: “By not only celebrating the Eucharist, but also by praying before It outside of Mass, we are enabled to make contact with the very wellsprings of Grace ..."   Can’t really find too many people who couldn’t use a little more “Grace”.

Thank you – for all of your support !    We know that we’re “preaching to the choir” here – but please help spread the word, promote this effort of ours for the Blessings come back to us, our families, our friends, and our Parish in multiples beyond our understanding.

God Bless !
