Child Abduction Response Seminar
***NEW times, registration 8am, FBI presentation STARTS at 8:30am, seminar ends at 4:30 ***This one day free seminar (CEUs to be provided) sponsored by the FBI Birmingham and Klaas Kids Foundation, Inc. is to provide critical information to law enforcement professionals in responding to a report of an abducted or missing child. Members of the FBI's Child Abduction Rapid Deployment Team will provide investigative tips, protocol, procedures and and other technical advice to enhance attendees' investigative skills when responding to the report of an abducted child. Other presenters will focus on: managing and working with the emergent community volunteers, the Alabama response to missing child cases, recently enacted Hiawayi Robinson law and victim/family response. Marc Klaas, whose daughter Polly was abducted in 1993 at the age of 12 from her home and subsequently murdered, will be the keynote speaker.
