Our off-snow roles are just as important as on-snow positions and play a key part in the success of the event. When you take on one of these roles, it’s your focus, your responsibility, and an opportunity to lead with your ideas and creativity!!

While we’ll work together as a team, you’ll own your role from start to finish, ensuring every detail is covered. These roles are fun, rewarding, and a vital part of creating an unforgettable experience for everyone involved!!

Athlete Banquet

The banquet is held on the Thursday night. We need help with working with Silver Star to run this as smoothly as possible for everyone! This is a really fun role!

Athlete Parade

This is an exciting idea for the athletes! After a day of training the athletes will walk from the conference centre through the village to the stage for the welcome ceremonies!We have some great ideas and would need your help to organize and arrange all the things!!

Organize Awards

Help organize the actual awards leading up to the event and help plan the awards on days of the races.

Organize Finish/Viewing Area

This job is working with Silver Star and the club in setting up the Finish. Such as: Where does the announcer go? Are we able to get screens for the Athletes times at the Finish? Where is the viewing area? SS said we could have fire pits, help organize and set that up etc

Organize Sound Systems/Announcers

This role is to help organize with Silver Star or any outside source for the sound system set up, location and to get all the information gathered for the Announcer.Help organize a questionnaire for each athlete so the announcer can read off the info as they come down.

Signage

We are wanting Signs around the mountain for "directions" and signage for Volunteer check in, Volunteer Apres etc. Also we will be putting a QR code on the signs so anyone can see what events are happening and the times they are happening

Swag

Work with Carol Main, (for our sponsors) and come up with ideas for prizes, giveaways for the opening ceremonies, hats at check in, parent swag etc.

Volunteer Apres

This is always a fun one! Because we have so many volunteers we will be having our Volunteer appreciation in the Town Hall! Silver Star has graciously offered it to us! This group will help plan and organize the best Vollie Apres ever!...we are know for the apres! ;)

Volunteer Lunches

For now I only need 2 volunteers. This is not for the job of the lunches but to help come up with a plan for the Volunteer lunches over the course of the week. We could also discuss with Silver Star with their packed lunches, maybe a hot lunch on Gypsy Queen one day and on The Face the next? Once we have a plan we will have sign up for the amount of volunteers needed! :)

Welcome Ceremonies

On the Main Stage that Silver Star will be setting up in the village outside of Bugaboos.Work with the Athlete Parade volunteers to come with ideas for possible vendors? Food and Ski?

Work with Photographer/Videographer

You are their go to person for all questions and inquiries. You help inform them on all the events and times and work with them to ensure that they have accessibility to all events.
